[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″ offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-7″][vc_column_text css=””]Creamy, nutty and smooth. Madame Tiger’s Barista Tiger Nut Milk is the plant milk you can count on to deliver a fiercely delicious coffee.

It won’t split when it hits the coffee. It has been tried and tested by Melbourne’s top baristas and they seriously approve.

Madame Tiger’s Barista Tiger Nut milk also happens to be the most sustainable milk to pair with your coffee. That’s right, lowest water footprint and lowest climate footprint.

We know a good coffee is the top priority, but if you are concerned about missing your vitamins and minerals that cows milk has then have some peace of mind Madame Tiger’s Barista Tiger Nut Milk has got you covered with potassium, calcium, phosphorous, sea salt, vitamin B5, vitamin B2, vitamin D and vitamin B12.

OH! We cant forget to mention Madame Tiger uses Australian extra virgin olive oil?![/vc_column_text][porto_info_box icon_type=”custom” img_width=”48″ icon_border_radius=”500″ icon_img=”22144″ subtitle=”Delightfully free from dairy, soy and gluten!”][/porto_info_box][porto_info_box icon_type=”custom” img_width=”48″ icon_border_radius=”500″ icon_img=”22144″ subtitle=”Tiger nuts are wind pollinated NOT bee pollinated (a common technique used to grow almonds).”][/porto_info_box][porto_info_box icon_type=”custom” img_width=”48″ icon_border_radius=”500″ icon_img=”22144″ subtitle=”FODMAP Friendly certified. The other really big thing is that people are beginning to learn that just because something is plant-based, that doesn’t always mean it’s healthy. Madame Tiger’s decision to use Australian extra virgin olive oil instead of canola or sunflower oil really sets them apart from most plant-based milks. They wanted there to be a plant-based milk option that had the same protein, fat, vitamins and minerals as full cream cow’s milk, so their milk delivers a plant-based alternative that doesn’t compromise on nutrition.[/porto_info_box][/porto_content_box][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][porto_content_box skin=”primary” align=”left” box_style=”featured-boxes-style-1″ box_effect=”featured-box-effect-1″][porto_info_box icon_type=”custom” img_width=”48″ icon_border_radius=”500″ title=”Who & Where is Madame Tiger Milk Made” css_info_box=”.vc_custom_1721879995999{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;}” icon_img=”22144″]

Tiger nuts are powerful little nutrient-rich root vegetables. They just happen to sport a stripy tiger-like exterior.

The down low on why tiger nuts are so damn healthy!:

  1. Lots of fibre
  2. Good fats (the mono kind!)
  3. Iron
  4. Phosphorous
  5. Vitamin C
  6. Vitamin E
  7. Magnesium
  8. Zinc
  9. Potassium
  10. Calcium

The other thing to love about tiger nuts is the absence of allergens. No nuts, dairy or gluten which you might find surprising.[/porto_info_box][/porto_content_box][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][porto_content_box skin=”primary” align=”left” box_style=”featured-boxes-style-1″ box_effect=”featured-box-effect-1″][porto_info_box icon_type=”custom” img_width=”48″ icon_border_radius=”500″ title=”Where Tiger Nuts Come From?” css_info_box=”.vc_custom_1721881618987{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;}” icon_img=”22144″]

Sustainability and ethical sourcing of ingredients is super important to Madame Tiger.

Introducing Mousso Faso… Mousso Faso means ‘homeland of the wholehearted woman’. Mousso Faso is a predominantly female farming collective that was setup in 2017 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso to empower tiger nut farming families to live with dignity.

The cooperative facilitates a trading relationship where farming families band together and sell directly to international customers (like Madame Tiger!) cutting out the “middle man” who seemed to be the source of some devastating problems. The cooperative also exists to improve working conditions, ensure families are paid fairly, for the children of all members to receive an education and to together promote sustainable farming techniques.

Madame Tiger is proud to say they purchased Mousso Faso’s entire 2020, 2021 and 2022 harvest of tiger nuts. It was a big leap of faith to ship over 6 tons of tiger nuts to Australia for their first order. And now they import well over 30 tons a year.

That’s wild”]

Looking to lower your personal climate footprint? Then start ordering a tiger latte as your morning coffee.

Madame Tiger Barista Tiger Nut Milk has the lowest climate footprint of oat, soy, almond and of course cow’s milk (by a country mile!) in Australia.

If you are interested in making some more comparisons feel free to have a peruse around the Carbon Cloud database.

You might see lower climate footprints published for milk that is produced overseas, so make sure you are making the right comparisons and filtering for the Australian market in your search.

Madame Tiger uses Carbon Cloud (a tool to measure climate footprint) to help them know and understand the climate impact of making tiger nut milk and here’s the results:

We source our certified organic tiger nuts from a female farming collective in Burkina Faso

Mousso Faso, a farming collective in Burkina Faso, West Africa, grow our tiger nuts as a certified organic annual crop. No harsh pesticides or chemicals are used. There is no known damage or impact to soil, land or air involved in farming tiger nuts.

We probably also should mention, incase it’s not obvious to all, that no tigers or bees are harmed in the making/growing of our tiger nut products. They are entirely vegan, delicious and sustainable.

I finally found a milk I can drink!
Me and my stomach have a love-hate relationship.. I love the food but my stomach does not. since having to move away from lactose, and gluten and go on a Fodmap free diet it’s hard to find a milk I like (and my stomach). This milk is a win!
Also, the sustainability of the product was an interesting read too.
Keep up the good job and let me know when you are running specials
